Superheterodyne battery receiver
Box with lid, made of of black catalin with gold colored front and knobs and black lettering, shaped like a jewelry box. The volume is controlled with the top knob. On the bottom of the front is the on/off switch. The bottom knob is used for tuning. The radio has no antenna connection but has a loop antenna in the lid. On the inside of the lid is a photo frame.
The radio receives medium wave only, 540-1600 kHz (187-555 meters).
