Moving iron loudspeaker
Bakelite cabinet with gold coloured cloth. At this moment the cabinet contains a loudspeaker with exciter coil and volume control, made by Goodmans Industries, Wembley, Middlesex, England. Established in 1932, the company used to be famous for the manufacture of loudspeakers, although now its principle business is the importing and distribution of consumer electronics goods. The cabinet is by Gecophone. Originally a  30 cm moving iron loudspeaker was used in this cabinet. A newer loudspeaker was probably fitted so it could be used for wire broadcasting.
