Frame antenna
Wooden frame with ebonite supports. The perpendicular windings pass through notches in these supports. One winding is for medium wave, PO (Petites Ondes) and one for long wave, GO (Grandes Ondes). The range is 200-600 meters and 600-1800 meters. A switch for these wavelengths is located on the top of the antenna, the connections are underneath.
The wire length of the medium wave part is 26 meters, that for long wave is 125 meters. The windings are made of fabric-covered stranded wire.
Because the antenna is rotatable, it can be aimed at a transmitter, so that a large part of any interference can be stopped.
This type of antenna was popular in Belgium and France. This antenne is French and was made around 1926.
C.A.R.A.C. (Construction Appareils Radio, Antenne, Cadres) was located at 40 Rue La Fontaine, Paris XVIe.
