Four valve battery radio made in 1926
In Frans Driessens' book: "Opkomst van de Nederlandse radio-industrie", two versions of this type are mentioned, both with a cabinet just like the one pictured above. A model with external valves on top and feedback coils on the front, made in 1926, and another model, made in 1927, with internal valves and feedback coils. The radio pictured above was made in 1926 and looks like it was made after the early version and before the later version of 1927. The circuit is based on resistance amplification. The original valve set is unknown, but must have looked like this: HF: A409, detector: A409/A410, LF1: A415/A425, LF2: B406. In an advertising leaflet, the radio was said to be "made by Delft engineers".
It was recommended to use a Farrand Senior or Junior loudspeaker or a Sandar double cone loudspeaker. The radios were sold at the Kunstzaal Edison or at a number of agents.

In the compartment under the chassis a coil set and a battery for negative grid bias (-4,5V and a tap for -1,5V) can be housed. Jacks for other voltages, a loudspeaker, earth and antenna and two rheostats are situated on the back of the chassis.
