KY Engels

In an oak cabinet with bakelite knobs and black feet. The receiver was made by Van der Heem & Bloemsma, The Hague. The front shows two big knobs for primary and secundary tuning. The right knob is used for reaction control. Two push-pull wave length switches are situated below the the big knobs.
The metal version of this radio was issued at the end of 1928. In the beginning of 1929, shortly before the National Trade Fair (Jaarbeurs, 18-28th February) in Utrecht, the wooden version was announced. A Sterling 75 loudspeaker was recommended for this radio.
The wooden model was reviewed in Radio Expres, February 22nd, 1929. Production of the metal version continued. The model in oak cost fl 10,- more.

Below the chassis

On the left side we can see the the Erres mains transformer and choke coil. Two Waldorp push-pull wave length switches can be seen above. On the right hand side the Erres Junior coupling transformer. Aerial capacitors are by Pilot Igranic, the glass capacitors and the detectors grid lead resistor are by Loewe; all other resistors are by Dralowid. The filament leads are shielded by a lead covering.
